#My tokens were used faster than expected
Check, in this order:
- The model. Stronger models cost several times more per request. See the relative costs in Models.
- Reasoning effort. High, Extra High and Max multiply the cost.
- Project size. Follow-ups on a large project send more of it to the AI, and big rewrites produce more output.
- Web search (Business+): each completed search adds 25,000 tokens. Switch it off for projects that don't need it.
- Textures on Blockbench models are charged per image.
Each chat message shows its cost, and your dashboard's Usage view shows your history.
#Why were tokens restored?
A project's first generation ended without anything usable (no files, a provider error, or the wrong platform), so Codexe gave back what it cost. See Credit restoration.
#My daily tokens didn't come back
The Free allowance tops up to 50,000 once 24 hours have passed since the last top-up, not at a fixed time. It's applied when you next open Codexe. If your balance is already at or above 50,000 (for example from a token pack), nothing is added. The dashboard shows when the next refill is due.
#"Not enough tokens"
Codexe won't start a request that costs more than your balance. Options: wait for the refill, choose a cheaper model or lower effort, make the request smaller, buy a token pack or upgrade.
